One Thing Is Certain: Those Who Understand Money Are Much More Likely To Have Money

Always know when you should play like MrBeast

Most people have a lot of trouble with their money, it’s kind of like this:

I have an idea of how much I make per month, and then I see how much I can spend, paying bills, adding some installments, and delaying things until the next month comes…

All in all, money is a nightmare, because people don’t deal with it.

I am far, far away from being an expert in personal finance, nor do I want to be. I just want to be a millionaire.

However, after being a consumerist, I learned some ways that made me have a better sense of money and finally know how to deal with it.

No matter how much you earn, if you don’t know how to handle your money, you will never have money.

Wine for non-experts is not that different. I remember a sommelier in Porto, Portugal, saying — The best wine is the one you like.

Some people increased their income a little bit, started to buy $400 wines, what before was $200, but in reality, they don’t even notice the difference in taste, and they start to drink more often because now they “have” money for it.

Hey, if you raise your consumption needs and the value of what you pay for, the squeeze will continue, simple as that.

If you buy time with money, you have bought happiness

What makes you happy?

That’s right, happiness can be bought.

In concrete terms, this means that people who outsource housework will sleep much happier at night.

People who hire a cleaning lady or pay their neighbor to mow their lawn may feel lazy. But buying time and having more money contribute similarly to happiness.”

If you buy time, you buy happiness — and under certain circumstances, it may even save your relationship with your children and your marriage.

On average, those who outsourced more household tasks are happier in their relationship — in part because they were able to spend more time together.

Today it is probably easier than ever to outsource time-consuming activities. The digital world makes this possible.

Whether you outsource home improvement work online or deliver food, the list of options is long. You should pay attention to two things, though:

  • Fun

Don’t outsource activities that you enjoy. Of course, that would be foolish.

Hobby cooks don’t need to order pizza service every day. Do-it-yourself kings don’t need freelancers, and passionate gardeners don’t need a robot lawn mower.

Scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen, on the other hand, is a popular pastime for very few people. So it is better to start there…

  • Always on the limit

Don’t overdo it. $ 100 to $ 200 per month is the ideal amount for buying time. It means: If you buy too much time, you will be more or less satisfied. It depends on how you spend your time.

What would be the reason?

Possibly because at some point he or she has the feeling that they can no longer do anything by themselves. Or that you have to manage many different service providers — this is also stressful.

Or that you are dissatisfied with the result and then regret spending money on it.

Some contemporaries may even feel guilty outsourcing unpleasant activities, i.e. letting others do the dirty work, so to speak…

But just no.

A discount still has a price

It amazes me how people say:

“ Wow, I got $500 off and paid only $400. Not to be missed!!!”

Yeah, congratulations, but you still spent $400 and if it wasn’t something you needed, it was $400 misspent, even if you had $1000 off.

People get crazy with big discounts and opportunities and don’t plug into the logic that you still pay.

Start small, even if it is $1, but start small

A lot of people say:

“I’m not even going to save that money because it’s so little, what’s the point, it won’t yield anything.”

You have no idea how much you could have had if you had saved the money the first time you said that. The moral is that in the beginning, it is more about habit than about the amount of money. After you start putting a little aside, you get into the habit and the cake or snowball begins to appear.

Always put in, even a little bit, and watch the growth

Yes, there are months when things are tight for everybody, the situation gets heavy and you won’t be able to put in as much as you would like, even so, put in a lot less, but put in, don’t stop with the habit.

It’s a great, champion feeling when you put in even a little bit and see that now that little pile of money of yours keeps growing.

The habit of looking helps you to want to keep making it grow.

No useless luxury brand defines you, but your attitudes do

Nike stands for boldness, but if a cool, conservative guy wears a Nike sneaker to play basketball, he’ll still be himself, only wearing a good sneaker. The boldness that Nike aims to inspire only becomes real through its attitudes.

Rolex only shows finesse and elegance if you have it, otherwise, it is just an expensive watch.

Much of the money spent wrongly is because people try to buy things that they lack in attitudes, and they don’t come with things.
